Chile, Here He Comes!

Adam left this morning for the Chile MTC. It was a short and tender goodbye at the airport:

He finished the last of his thank you notes in the car at the airport parking lot:

Saying goodbye to brothers and sisters:

And there he goes...

We will miss you!!! Be of good cheer and know we will pray for you every day. We are waving the flag for Elder Bushman. We will await hearing from you each week with excitement. We will support you as you go forth to serve the people of Chile. Go forward with fatih and with God. Return honorably.

"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

He's a Missionary!

Adam was set apart as a Missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints on Monday, April 8, 2013. The blessing he received was beautiful and comforting. (He wore his non-missionary white shirt so he wouldn't have to wash a shirt before he left or take a dirty one with him. I think he likes the pink tie... :)

"I have often said that one of the greatest secrets of missionary work is work! If a missionary works, he will get the Spirit; if he gets the Spirit, he will teach by the Spirit; and if he teaches by the Spirit, he will touch the hearts of the people and he will be happy. Work, work, work-there is no satisfactory substitute, especially in missionary work." - Ezra Taft Benson

One Last Goodbye

What a beautiful Sunday evening with family and friends! Thank you to all those who joined us. We missed those of you who could not. Adam enjoyed seeing so many people whom have blessed his life.

"My understanding is that the most important mission that I have in this life is: first, to keep the commandments of God, as they been taught to me; and next, to teach them to my Father's children who do not understand them." - George Albert Smith

Happy Easter & Missionary Talk

Happy Easter! What a wonderful day for Mom...to hear Elder Bushman speak about the Resurrection! Listening to him teach and testify made me realize that he really is ready to go teach the people in Santiago, Chile. Thank you to all those who shared this day with us. What a blessing to see so many family members and friends come out to support him and bid him farewell!

For those of you who were out of town, here is a link to his talk. You were missed!

Bye-Bye on April 9th

Adam will be departing April 9th for Atlanta, GA, then on to Santiago, Chile.

I think he's in a bit of a stupor....

Goodbye Events

Speaking in Church

Adam will be speaking in church on Easter Sunday, March 31st, at 11:00 AM. The church is located at 975 N. 60 E. in American Fork.

Goodbye Party

Because he speaks on Easter Sunday, we will have a farewell open house for him right before he leaves, on Sunday, April 7th, from 5PM - 8PM at our home - 1259 N. 100 W. in American Fork. This is General Conference weekend.

We hope to see you at one or both events!
